I am going to try and send my book off to be printed at the beginning of April because there could be a few elements to the book that could take a long time to get printed. This means I have to get a move on with the work! I am nearly there with it all I jut need to decide how I want to reveal the plot and how to include the story and I am done.
Once I have submitted the book at the best standard possible, I m then going to spend my time focusing on the research book that goes alongside the story book. This needs some work to get it to a high standard. I have completed the research and don what I am meant to have done but I need to link it all together and analyse it to make it flow and showcase what I have done.
MUST DO.....Give my research a meaning/ direction.

Aldi - Ketchup - nicer than boys! I don't like boys!
This is the advert that I noticed on the TV that shows the importance/or not of brand association. It is simple but to the point and proves the point that you don't always have to buy brands in a great way.

This is the front and the back cover of my book. The name altered ego came from searching the definition of split identity, as alte ego is another word for this. AlterED suggests that it is somthing that has already been changed, which is wat has happened in my project, the identites have been created. I produced the graphics behind the clipping mask with Photoshop brushes and I loved them but felt they werent stonr enough to stand alone as a front cover, so adding the clipping mask adds the 'boom' t the image I was looking for. I love my covers! :)

As you can see the images look very similar. I have included some differences such as the texture used to create the look on the face and I have kept the eyes a different colour because I think it is important to show some differences between us in the reveal of the project to add to it.
The background is something I am going to have to think about also.
Editing.....
I have edited this image of Lucy to look like the picture of me doing this pose. This is so that when I put them next t each other in the story book.....hopefully there will not be much difference. I did this using Photoshop and the best part is the eyes....the blueness of the eyes really stands out!

Self Reflection
This far into the project I am feeling great about it. I am really into things with my project and have not been rushed so far with anything. A massive development is that I have not worried a lot about the project woooo! :)
I am loving learning so much in Photoshop and the skills that I am going to gain from this project will be amazing. I hope this enjoyment of the project continues.

Second review
I had my second review today! It didn't really go as I hoped. I wasn't prepared to have to present my work as I though it was going to be more of a tutorial like the first review was.
However, I did take away the fact I need to be more prepared for the unexpected and suggestions of how to improve my work have been made. I will analyse all my options and decide what I am going to do with my project soon.

Tutorial
Today I had a tutorial with Jamie and Anya. It was good because only me and one other person turned up to work, giving us all of the attention. After the tutorial established that I was on the right lines and what I had to start focusing on, I stayed for an I.T lesson, where again it was just Michelle and I, giving Jamie a lot of time to show us things we needed to know.
I worked on editing the film that I had from recording my photo shoots. Michelle helped me with this a lot and it took longer than expected. However, it was very good to learn how to edit video and see all the things you can do to a piece of film. This was for an additional piece of work for my professional project that I feel is a nice little touch.

Self Development:
A major development within myself that I have noticed while completing this project is the ability to use Photoshop and edit images. I am getting faster and more familiar with this wonderful programme and really love the outcomes it helps me to produce. this is definitely a skill I am pleased to have for my future career.
Location Photo Shoot...
The shoot was held in the forest and i was the photographer, Lucy (my cousin) was the model and Tiffany was my assistant.
The shoot went well. It was a cold and damp day in the forest but this added to my images, although poor Lucy was cold. We managed to get some great images in the location and all together have so many images to pick from. I need to edit the final imaged to make them look as much like me in the previous images as possible and also to make them look more aesthetically pleasing.
This shoot is the key to my amazing editorial twist...
Improvements for next time: be prepared and take more things to produce special effects e.g fake blood or face paints and not dried icing that doesn't smudge well. Also know positions I want the model to display before the shoot to save time and to ensure I have exactly what i need!

From pretty to sinister! I have started editing my dark images to make them even more dark and really effective images! This image will be used as part of the reveal that there are two people modelling and also add a real sense of darkness to the book. I completed this using tools in Photoshop and started with help from Jamie! I LOVE it!
